The Stam Stool is a natural evolution of the chair of the same name, faithfully preserving its formal and structural language while adapting it to slimmer, more elongated proportions. The frame is made entirely of tubular steel, available with either a chrome or painted finish, while the sled base is completed with discreet rubber feet. The seat and backrest, crafted exclusively in leather, emphasize the timeless essentiality of this piece. The original design is by Mart Stam, a pioneer of Dutch modernism. It was he who, in 1926, conceived the first cantilever chair using simple metal tubes and “L”-shaped joints borrowed from the plumbing industry.
